Melktap Kronenburgh

“Kronenburgh is the name of our farm. Our house was built in 1731, as stated on the front facade. Martijn is the sixth generation of Mandersloot at this location.

On our dairy farm, we care for approximately 150 dairy cows. Our cows spend a minimum of 120 days a year in the pasture, grazing for 6 hours a day. Because of this, we are allowed to call our milk ‘pasture milk.’ The cows are milked twice a day, and a portion of the milk is processed into delicious dairy products by us.

Most of the feed the cows eat is grown on our own land. Each year, we cultivate about 70 hectares of land, with 80% dedicated to grassland and 20% to corn. Every day, the cows receive an unlimited mixed feed containing grass, corn, and minerals. Additionally, the cows are given pellets as needed.”
